The artist has depicted Visat Maa, a folk goddess who is believed to be the ancestor of the Chitara (Mata ni pacchedi artisans community) race. The deity is known for her 20 hands which led to her name, Vis (meaning 'Twenty' in Gujarati) Hath (meaning 'Hand' in Gujarati). The commanding presence of Visat Maa is portrayed in the center of a red background, conveying the deity's mood. The bottom row features nine other goddesses, including Dashama, Vahanvati, Meldi, Amba, Bahuchar, and Khodiyar. In the middle row, members of the Bhuva/Shaman community attempt to seek guidance from Visat Maa by Dana (grain) reading. Dana nakhava is a technique to connect with the spirit of the goddess. The top row shows worshippers and musicians who pay homage to the goddess. All elements of the painting have been intricately done, with each conveying its own distinct story that contributes to the painting's uniqueness and appeal.
