Nizamabad, a small village in Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh is famous for its handcrafted Red & Black Pottery.
Cutwork and silver filigree-like work in black pottery is an identity of this village. A unique process of applying mustard oil and firing greenwares with rice husks in enclosed kilns gives these products a shiny black surface.
